Reference: Appaloosa News 2-75:113, photo from allbreed.com Notes: Gene Holter (South Dakota, PA, NY, California and points inbetween, not to be confused with Gene Holder of Texas) owned him and bred many mares to him back east and then he brought him to the west coast where he died. Gene had numerous addresses over the US, as he had a "traveling circus/petting zoo"..and supplied animals to the movie industry for many years. This stallion has very large elongated spots, some haloed/peacock, as well as some smaller ones. The spot formation on his face all run together over his left eye and cheek.
