  • NewAdded a weekly digest email (Monday mornings) summarizing what's due this week and any pending ownership transfers - no need to log in to stay on top of things. Opt out anytime in Account > Preferences.

Password reset, real email, and a fuller dashboard

  • NewForgot your password? Click "Forgot password?" on the login page for a self-service reset link by email - no more needing an admin to reset it for you.
  • NewEmail notifications and text reminders are now fully wired up and sending for real.
  • NewYou'll now get an email before your free trial or paid subscription is about to end, not just the in-app banner.
  • NewYour dashboard now shows what's "Due This Week" (overdue and upcoming calendar events) and any "Pending Transfers" awaiting a response, right up top.
  • NewAdded an Outstanding Balance stat to your dashboard, for buyers who still owe you money.
  • NewBulk actions on the Horses list - select multiple horses to favorite or tag them all at once, instead of one at a time.

New home, new look, and a real front door

  • NewThe Equine Manager now lives at its own domain, theequinemanager.com.
  • NewApplied a full brand identity refresh - new color palette, typography, and accent colors throughout the app.
  • NewThe homepage is now a real marketing page - what the app does, live database stats, pricing, and an FAQ - instead of just redirecting straight to Horses.
  • NewAdded an FAQ page, linked from every page, covering pricing, breeds/registries, backups, ownership transfers, text reminders, and more.
  • NewThe registry breakdown on the Horses page is now a dropdown instead of a grid of tiles, and every entry is clickable - including breeds that previously had no filter.
  • ImprovedFoundation, Tentative, PC, ID, Regular Registered, Colorado Rangerbred, Sundance Bloodline, and FAHR are now grouped under one ApHC submenu in that dropdown, instead of sitting flat alongside unrelated breeds.
  • NewAdded dozens of additional breed registries (Morgan, Standardbred, Trakehner, Holsteiner, Oldenburg, Andalusian, Icelandic, Friesian, Clydesdale, Percheron, Paso Fino, Miniature, Mustang, and many more) so horses of nearly any breed - not just Appaloosa - can be tracked.
  • NewAdded an automatic nightly backup, independent of anyone remembering to click "Create Backup Now."

Rebrand and favorites

  • NewRebranded from Horse Records to The Equine Manager, with a new logo across the header, favicon, and login/register pages.
  • NewHorses with an ID/NC/PC/BT-registered parent are now automatically added to Favorites.

Foundation %/FAHR % everywhere, and dashboard favorites

  • NewFoundation % and FAHR % now show on every horse listing tab, not just the main Horses page.
  • NewDashboards now group foals by year, show the other parent, and support Favorites.
  • FixedA date bug that shifted every imported horse's birth date by one day was corrected.

Financials and admin tools

  • NewAdded financials tracking, with admins able to view any breeder's dashboard.
  • NewAdmin navigation links are now grouped under a single Admin menu.
  • NewColor and Barn Name now show on the horse profile page.
  • FixedAdd/Edit Horse no longer loads the entire horse table just to pick a Sire or Dam - it's much faster now.
  • FixedFixed mobile issues in Add/Edit Horse with the Color field, date typing, and logging out.

Major registry imports and site-wide search

  • NewImported the ApHC Tentative, Pedigree Certificate (PC), Beyond the Studbook ("Regular Registered"), Identification (ID), Colorado Rangerbred (CRHA), Sundance Bloodline (SBC), and FAHR registries - tens of thousands of historical horses are now searchable and can be linked into pedigrees.
  • NewAdded site-wide search from the header, plus a registration-type breakdown on the Horses page.
  • NewAdded an opt-in Appaloosa mailing list (all horses or foundation-only), with admin CSV export.
  • FixedMerged 358 duplicate horse records that had been created across the various imports.
  • FixedFixed several Horses-list and dashboard crashes that only showed up once the horse count grew large, and added pagination.
  • FixedFixed occasional "Something went wrong" errors that could appear right after a deploy.

Foundation Horses and FAHR % refinements

  • NewImported the ApHC Foundation Horse registry and added a Foundation Horses tab.
  • NewPhoto upload now supports drag-and-drop, each profile section saves independently, and sire/dam quick-add is smoother.
  • NewBirth and deceased dates can now be entered with the precision you actually have - exact date, year-month, or just a year.
  • ImprovedReworked the FAHR % rules for T/ID/NC/PC/BT-registered horses, forced registered names to uppercase for consistency, and gave horses clean, readable URLs.
  • FixedDuplicate-horse warnings now require an exact name match, and Horses search now matches multiple words across any field.

Pedigree, pricing, and FAHR %/GAP tracking

  • NewAdded Performance Genetics and a Health Genetics section to horse profiles.
  • NewAdded opt-in text message reminders for upcoming due dates.
  • NewAdded pricing packages, multi-registry support, cascading state/country address fields, account codes, and automatic deceased status by age.
  • NewYou can now restore the database from a backup, either uploaded or already on the server.
  • NewAdded FAHR %/GAP tracking to the dashboard, with inline sire/dam quick-add.
  • FixedFixed pedigree photos, added foal sex, and foal photos now appear on the horse's profile.
  • FixedCorrected the FAHR % qualifying threshold, and fixed GAP inflating incorrectly.

  • NewAdded multi-user accounts with logins, sessions, and admin user management.
