For Sale/At Stud as their own checkboxes, plus an Appaloosa Exchange link

  • ImprovedFor Sale and At Stud are now their own checkboxes on the Add/Edit Horse form instead of "For Sale" being a Status option - a horse can be e.g. Active and for sale at the same time. Checking either one reveals its price field.
  • ImprovedA horse's For Sale/At Stud status now shows as a badge right on its profile, visible to anyone viewing it - not just the owner.
  • NewHorses of a breed Appaloosa Exchange currently accepts (Appaloosa, Knabstrupper, Pony of the Americas, American Miniature Horse, British Spotted Pony, American Sugarbush Harlequin Draft, Gypsy Cob/Vanner) now show a "List on Appaloosa Exchange" link on their profile once marked For Sale or At Stud.

Bulk horse import for admins

  • NewAdmins can now bulk-import a new client's horses from their filled-out onboarding spreadsheet (Admin > Import Horses) - upload the file, review a preview of every row (with any errors or warnings flagged), and confirm to create them all at once under the right breeder, with sire/dam automatically matched to existing horses where possible.

Smarter dropdowns, typed dates, and full pricing on the FAQ

  • FixedTab now commits the highlighted option in a dropdown (Sire/Dam, Registry, Country, etc.) instead of discarding it and leaving the field unset.
  • FixedThe Sire/Dam picker could occasionally get silently overwritten with the wrong horse just by clicking into an already-filled field and tabbing past it without meaning to change anything - it now only ever changes when you've actually picked something.
  • NewDate of Birth and Deceased Date now auto-insert the "/" as you type - 07051988 becomes 07/05/1988 - instead of requiring you to type them yourself.
  • ImprovedThe FAQ's "How much does it cost?" answer now lists every active plan and its description, not just the starting price - and updates automatically whenever pricing changes in Admin > Pricing.
  • ImprovedBloodline Strains (Morgan) now default to 0% when a strain isn't otherwise established, instead of staying blank, and a horse's strain percentages can't be manually set to total more than 100%.

Built out for Morgan breeders, plus search and dashboard fixes

  • NewAdded Bloodline Strains tracking for Morgan horses - Lippitt, Government, Brunk, and Western Working - with the same auto-calculated, cascades-to-foals percentage FAHR % already uses for Appaloosa.
  • NewAdded a "Times to Justin Morgan" count on Morgan horses' profiles - how many times a horse's recorded pedigree traces back to the breed's foundation sire.
  • NewAdded DNA Parentage Verification to the Health Genetics section, alongside HYPP, PSSM1, and the rest.
  • NewAdded a Breed filter and column to the Horses search and list.
  • ImprovedFoundation %/FAHR % (Appaloosa's own FAHR program field) no longer shows up on other breeds' profiles.
  • ImprovedThe homepage now leads with "any breed" instead of reading Appaloosa-only, and its registry count is now accurate (51+, computed live) instead of a stale "8."
  • ImprovedWith no search or filters active, the Horses list now defaults to your own horses instead of a random sample pulled from every breed in the database.
  • ImprovedRemoved the Foundation/Tentative/PC/etc. tab bar from the top of the Horses pages - every one of those is still reachable from the registry breakdown dropdown further down.
  • FixedDashboard's Health Alerts and Due This Week "View all" links now actually go to the full list, instead of the generic Horses page.
  • FixedQuick-adding a sire/dam of any breed other than Appaloosa no longer silently registers them as ApHC unless you pick that registry on purpose.
  • FixedCorrected two registry-name mix-ups in the dropdown: Morgan no longer shares a label with the Miniature Horse Association, and the Miniature Horse Registry's name was completed.
  • FixedHorse photos were getting cropped to a square on the Horses list's mobile view, cutting off part of the picture - they now show in full.

Account tools, and a note on your payment info

  • NewAdmins can now permanently delete a horse, or a breeder account, from that horse's/account's admin page - accounts with any payment or financial history on record are protected (use Disable Account instead, which keeps everything but blocks login).
  • NewAdmins can export a full copy of everything on file for a specific account, for anyone who requests their data.
  • NewAdded a support email (support@theequinemanager.com), shown on the FAQ page and in the footer of every page.
  • NewAdded a note on the FAQ page and the Renew page making clear we never see or store your card or bank details - Stripe and PayPal payments happen entirely on their own sites, and Zelle is a bank transfer you make yourself.

Bulk health records, real uploads, and a smarter Financials page

  • NewSelect multiple horses on the Horses list and add a vaccination, deworming, medication, vet visit, or document to all of them at once - built for a vet visit that covers the whole herd in one day.
  • NewBrand images and health documents can now be uploaded directly, instead of pasting a link to somewhere else.
  • NewAdded a "Print Pedigree" button to every horse's 4-generation pedigree chart.
  • ImprovedFinancials now has one searchable, filterable transaction log (by name, category, notes, date range, or in/out) instead of two separate tables, with CSV export and a payment's subscription end date shown right in the log.
  • NewPayments now show their Stripe/PayPal/Zelle transaction or confirmation number right in Financials, so it's easy to look one up in that provider's own dashboard.
  • FixedA bug that made every PayPal payment fail after checkout ("Order does not belong to this account") even though it went through on PayPal's side - PayPal payments now complete and record correctly.

Password reset, real email, and a fuller dashboard

  • NewForgot your password? Click "Forgot password?" on the login page for a self-service reset link by email - no more needing an admin to reset it for you.
  • NewEmail notifications and text reminders are now fully wired up and sending for real.
  • NewYou'll now get an email before your free trial or paid subscription is about to end, not just the in-app banner.
  • NewYour dashboard now shows what's "Due This Week" (overdue and upcoming calendar events) and any "Pending Transfers" awaiting a response, right up top.
  • NewAdded an Outstanding Balance stat to your dashboard, for buyers who still owe you money.
  • NewBulk actions on the Horses list - select multiple horses to favorite or tag them all at once, instead of one at a time.

New home, new look, and a real front door

  • NewThe Equine Manager now lives at its own domain, theequinemanager.com.
  • NewApplied a full brand identity refresh - new color palette, typography, and accent colors throughout the app.
  • NewThe homepage is now a real marketing page - what the app does, live database stats, pricing, and an FAQ - instead of just redirecting straight to Horses.
  • NewAdded an FAQ page, linked from every page, covering pricing, breeds/registries, backups, ownership transfers, text reminders, and more.
  • NewThe registry breakdown on the Horses page is now a dropdown instead of a grid of tiles, and every entry is clickable - including breeds that previously had no filter.
  • ImprovedFoundation, Tentative, PC, ID, Regular Registered, Colorado Rangerbred, Sundance Bloodline, and FAHR are now grouped under one ApHC submenu in that dropdown, instead of sitting flat alongside unrelated breeds.
  • NewAdded dozens of additional breed registries (Morgan, Standardbred, Trakehner, Holsteiner, Oldenburg, Andalusian, Icelandic, Friesian, Clydesdale, Percheron, Paso Fino, Miniature, Mustang, and many more) so horses of nearly any breed - not just Appaloosa - can be tracked.
  • NewAdded an automatic nightly backup, independent of anyone remembering to click "Create Backup Now."

  • NewRebranded from Horse Records to The Equine Manager, with a new logo across the header, favicon, and login/register pages.

Foundation %/FAHR % everywhere, and dashboard favorites

  • NewFoundation % and FAHR % now show on every horse listing tab, not just the main Horses page.
  • NewDashboards now group foals by year, show the other parent, and support Favorites.
  • FixedA date bug that shifted every imported horse's birth date by one day was corrected.

  • NewAdded financials tracking, with admins able to view any breeder's dashboard.

Major registry imports and site-wide search

  • NewImported the ApHC Tentative, Pedigree Certificate (PC), Beyond the Studbook ("Regular Registered"), Identification (ID), Colorado Rangerbred (CRHA), Sundance Bloodline (SBC), and FAHR registries - tens of thousands of historical horses are now searchable and can be linked into pedigrees.
  • NewAdded site-wide search from the header, plus a registration-type breakdown on the Horses page.
  • NewAdded an opt-in Appaloosa mailing list (all horses or foundation-only), with admin CSV export.
  • FixedMerged 358 duplicate horse records that had been created across the various imports.
  • FixedFixed several Horses-list and dashboard crashes that only showed up once the horse count grew large, and added pagination.
  • FixedFixed occasional "Something went wrong" errors that could appear right after a deploy.

Foundation Horses and FAHR % refinements

  • NewImported the ApHC Foundation Horse registry and added a Foundation Horses tab.
  • NewPhoto upload now supports drag-and-drop, each profile section saves independently, and sire/dam quick-add is smoother.
  • NewBirth and deceased dates can now be entered with the precision you actually have - exact date, year-month, or just a year.
  • ImprovedReworked the FAHR % rules for T/ID/NC/PC/BT-registered horses, forced registered names to uppercase for consistency, and gave horses clean, readable URLs.
  • FixedDuplicate-horse warnings now require an exact name match, and Horses search now matches multiple words across any field.

  • NewAdded Performance Genetics and a Health Genetics section to horse profiles.
