Dam (per source): Palomar CRHA 131-V Owned by Lorne and Vera Knisley, Ft Collins, Colorado Transferred from Tentative T-1718 *Note: There is some question on who was Granite Canyon's sire: "There were three stallions in the pasture with Palomar...one was Pavo and Vera [Knisley] doesn't think he was the sire because Pavo threw a distinctive type of foal and Granite didn't fit the build of a Pavo horse. The second stallion in the pasture was Troya (sp?), and the third was Fire Thorn, a red leopard ApHC F-180. Vera believes Fire Thorn was the sire, because Granite looked and was built like Fire Thorn. Vera said Fire Thorn was a small, compact beautiful leopard.
